This 80 acres site, which was predominantly greenfield, is located to the West of Stonehouse, Stroud.
Outline planning permission for a mixed use development comprising demolition of existing buildings; up to 725 dwellings and a local centre of 1 acre; primary school, open space, landscaping, parking and supporting infrastructure and utilities, was granted by the Planning Inspectorate, following an appeal, in December 2017.
Following the successful promotion of this site through the development plan, it was removed from the Green Belt on adoption of the Gloucester Cheltenham Tewkesbury Joint Core Strategy on 11th December 2017.
The appeal decision issued on the 21st December 2017 followed a conjoined Inquiry with the Innsworth scheme that took place in June 2017.
