Eastern Business Park, owned by Robert Hitchins Ltd, has been chosen as a finalist in prestigious property awards.

The Grade A facility at St Mellons, Cardiff has recently benefited from an extensive £1.5 million refurbishment which included the creation of a new communal restaurant, new changing room and shower facilities and new air handling systems.

The project transformed the existing building to provide first-class modern facilities where the health and wellbeing of its tenants and their employees come first.

The restaurant, now run by Milk & Sugar, not only provides an all-day meals service, it also offers comfortable areas for a relaxing coffee, and other areas for independent working and a collaborative business lounge.

The restaurant facilities are also open to the public. They have the added advantage of an outside courtyard for al fresco dining.

Eastern Business Park is a finalist in the Insider Property Awards Wales 2021 in the Fit-out of the Year category. The awards seek to shine a light on excellence in the property sector. Winners will be announced at a dinner in September.

Robert Hitchins’ partners for the refurbishment were Bbi (main contractor/designer), Cushman & Wakefield, and Beavan Consulting Ltd.

Senior Asset and Development Manager for Robert Hitchins, John Jones, said: “We’re delighted with the refurbishment of Eastern Business Park and to see the success of the project recognised by the industry.

“We decided to transform the site with modern working in mind. In today’s post-pandemic environment, out-of-town office space is exceptionally well-suited to the new ways of working.

“It’s the ultimate working campus that provides a platform for people to weave healthy choices into their work lifestyle.”
