The Robert Hitchins Group is proud to be involved in local charitable projects through The Hitchins Family Trust Company which provides diverse grants throughout Gloucestershire via the Gloucestershire Community Foundation.
The Robert Hitchins Group is also involved in other areas of business including real estate and lifestyle resorts located in the south-east of Spain, sustainable agriculture and land management located in the South West of England. The Group is also an active participant within the Circle2Success business community.
The Hitchins Family Trust aims to help overcome disadvantage and support those in the community in need. It funds proposals and projects aimed at creating, extending and widening opportunities for children, teenagers and young adults to overcome disadvantage, to take up physical, cultural and intellectual activities, to build confidence, self-esteem and learn new skills to find employment.
The fund has supported groups who bring families together, has helped purchase essesntial items, for example a new minibus for The Shrubberies School, has supported food banks as well as new initiatives for treating diseases such as dementia, and has helped new community initiatives start up and become established.
The Gloucestershire Community Foundation is dedicated to funding community-based action that improves the lives of Gloucestershire's most disadvantaged.
Child poverty, unemployment, isolation, homelessness, domestic violence, people with life limiting illness and excluded young people are just some of the issues we're tackling.
